kri8it has tackled another project with much enthusiasm, determination and commitment and we’re thrilled with the end result. The website is now live so head on over and tell us what you think? (De Kleipot)
De Kleipot creates beautiful decorative tiles – all tiles are individually crafted and uniquely handmade.
Established in 2009, De Kleipot has evolved immensely over the past 7 years. They now have a variety of tile ranges to offer, a few of these include Art Nouveau, Black and White, Outdoor, Raku and many more.
The tiles are all available in different shapes and sizes, and with the plain single-coloured tiles, you can easily create your own design.
Driven by her love for her local community, Petro van Zyl (owner of de Kleipot) proudly employs a talented group of crafts women who skillfully manufacture & paint tiles from raw materials with love and care.
The Brief
Due to their physical location, De Kleipot needed a website that would facilitate prompt and easy communication with their client base. They were looking for a content management system that would allow them to easily and quickly maintain and update the website themselves.
They wanted a website that was striking and user-friendly, that would showcase their boutique products and cater to the needs of their diverse and creative client base.
Additional design elements such as an online product catalogue and logo refresh were included in the project scope.
Our Solution
Our designers produced a stylish one-pager catalogue, allowing visitors to effortlessly download and view the full product range.
Keeping the website requirements in mind, we designed and developed a WordPress website with a custom theme that perfectly compliments De Kleipots unique style. ”The system allows the client to edit the content’s of the homepage update ‘About us’/change contact info/Update FAQ’s on the fly) very easily,” explains Francois van Zyl, lead developer on the project.
”We wanted visitors to feel like they were walking through the beautiful little studio located on a stunning farm in Worcester – another reason why the scrolling design was the natural choice,” says Flip Dippenaar, Senior Designer on the project.
We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the client on this project and they are are delighted with the end result, proudly showcasing the website at trade shows and presentations.
